Kentucky Wesleyan College is a 151-year old liberal arts college located in Owensboro, Kentucky, a city on the Ohio River.  The college enrolled 862 students from 23 states and 8 foreign countries in the last fall semester. KWC offers 36 majors and 11 pre-professional curriculums. The college is approved by the University Senate of the General Board of Higher Education & Ministry as a United Methodist-related academic institution.

Owensboro is known for warm hospitality, great museums and a world-class performing arts center. The city hosts over 20 exciting festivals throughout the year, including the International Mystery Writers' Festival. Owensboro is just 40 minutes east of Evansville, Indiana, 2 hours north of Nashville, Tennessee, 2 hours west of Louisville, Kentucky, and 4 hours east of St. Louis, Missouri. Daviess County is home to 94,000 residents.

Faculty positions


BIOLOGY
Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, Kentucky seeks a full-time visiting Assistant Professor biologist for the 2010-11 academic year. Ph.D. is required. Successful candidate will teach Human Anatomy and Physiology I & II, non-majors' biology and an upper level majors' course, depending on expertise. CRIMINAL JUSTICE
Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, Kentucky, seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice for the academic year 2010-11. The successful candidate will teach courses in Criminal Justice with particular emphasis in critical issues in policing, criminal courts and research methods; supervise student scholarship, internships and practica; support the needs of the department; and engage in the life of the college. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or related discipline and a commitment to undergraduate teaching. COACHING POSITIONS - Men's Golf and Women's Cross Country
Kentucky Wesleyan College seeks part-time coaches for Men's Golf and Women's Cross Country. In addition to coaching, responsibilities also include organizing and scheduling practice sessions, developing competition schedules and recruiting student-athletes. Candidates should have previous coaching experience, a demonstrated knowledge of sports coaching techniques and excellent interpersonal communication skills. Bachelor's degree preferred.
