The International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) is a specialized accrediting body that promotes and recognizes excellence in business education in colleges and universities at the baccalaureate and graduate levels, both in the United States and inter-nationally. The Department of Business was fully accredited by IACBE on April 8, 2005.
About the Department
The Center for Business Studies prepares students for professional business careers and graduate studies. This preparation involves curricula that stress analysis and communication, emphasize both theory and practice, and are shaped by the needs of the business world. Faculty are committed to providing an education that is technically competent, ethically based, and socially aware.

Signature Learning Experiences
Internships
For top performers, internships are available. Eligible students will be placed in situations that provide them with a first-hand experience in their career choice as well as earning college credit.
New York City - Spring Break
Since 1992, business students has been part of a larger group that spends Spring Break in New York City. The 10 day, 9 night travel-study course examines the foundations of American business from Wall Street to Broadway.
Sigma Beta Delta
Each year Kentucky Wesleyan College selects up to three individuals to join Sigma Beta Delta, the international honor society for business.
