Kentucky's Retreat for Women Writers
Open to Women Ages 18 and Up
Reconnect with Your Creative Self

July 25-July 28, 2008

THE RETREAT__________________________________________________

This retreat is designed for both the experienced and beginning writer with the intention of providing intellectually stimulating activities that will inspire future writing. Participants will spend two days and three evenings with their faculty and a community of fellow writers.

EVENTS_______________________________________________________

Lectures
Artists, activists, and writers will speak on a topic within their genre or expertise.

Workshops
Original creative writing from participants will be critiqued within a classroom setting. If participants choose to have their writing critiqued, they must send their original creative work (poetry or fiction) either with their application or at least three weeks prior to the workshop via email to kmoffett@kwc.edu.

Readings
The writers-in-residence will read their published work aloud and will sign copies of their books.

Individual Conferences
Participants who send in creative work will receive a ten-fifteen minute private conference with one of the writers-in-residence.
