Owensboro, Ky. (October 9, 2012)---Diane Earle, artist in residence at Kentucky Wesleyan College, will perform a harpsichord and piano recital Thursday, October 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the College’s Tapscott Chapel. The program is called “Around the World in 80 Minutes” and features music from Italy, Germany, Austria, France, Poland, America, Spain, Hungary, Ukraine, Argentina, Russia and China.
The recital will also feature the world premiere of a new composition, “The Rhapsody of Jekyll and Hyde,” by Pulitzer Prize-nominated composer Wallace DePue, performed by Earle with narration by actor Todd Reynolds.
Earle has performed in 9 countries and 29 states and is music director of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church and director of the Owensboro Symphony Chorus. Reynolds is the programming coordinator for the Owensboro Museum of Science and History. He is a seasoned actor and director who has worked extensively with Theatre Workshop of Owensboro for over thirty years. He has been a guest artist and director for Kentucky Wesleyan College, the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra and the Owensboro Easter Pageant. Reynolds was in Back Alley Musical’s production of The Fantasticks and Owensboro Dance Theatre's version of The Nutcracker for several years. A voice actor who has recorded many voice overs and commercials, he was in the radio company for The International Mystery Writer's Festival. He was recently featured in many films, including Hallows Eve: Slaughter on Second Street, Murder in Kentucky, Remaindered, Bumsicle and Spirit Stalkers. Reynolds is the producer of the regional event, Voices of Elmwood.
The recital is free and open to the public.
