KWC Launching Community Piano Program
Kentucky Wesleyan College is launching a new music program called "Panther Pianists." Piano students will travel to local assisted care and other community facilities to perform for the residents. The program will showcase pianists in solos and duets for 40-minute programs. Dr. Diane Earle is the director.
The schedule includes fifteen performances beginning this summer. Facilities include Fern Terra, Elizabeth Munday Senior Center, Wendell Foster’s Campus, Park Regency and Heritage Place. You can find specific dates and times of performances on KWC's online interactive calendar.
Earle has played at assisted care facilities several times each month for the past three years and thought it would be great to involve students as well. “It is win-win for everyone. The students and residents will enjoy music and share smiles,” she said. For additional information, contact Earle at 270-852-3617.
