Faculty Positions
VISITING PROFESSOR COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Kentucky Wesleyan College is seeking to fill a visiting faculty position in Computer Information Systems beginning August 2013. Applicants should be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Additional duties include advising students, participation in the development and implementation of departmental objectives and serving on committees.
To be considered, an applicant must possess a Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Computer Information Systems or a closely related field. The position may be renewable for qualified applicants.

Visiting Assistant Professor: Organismal Biology/Zoology
Responsibilities
· Develop the zoology major to its full potential
· Teach a variety of courses to Zoology and Biology majors ismalincluding but not limited to: General Biology, Ecology, and other courses appropriate to the major at the upper level based on the applicants’ expertise
· Encourage and oversee relevant faculty-student research
· Advise students
· Contribute your professional expertise to the college and larger external community
Qualifications
· Ph.D. in Biology or Zoology, post-doctoral experience preferred, ABD’s will be considered
· A commitment to undergraduate teaching and involving undergraduates in research
· Drive and desire to develop a strong, high quality program in Zoology
· Ability to work collaboratively
Position has Visiting status for Academic Year 2013-14 but there is potential of becoming a permanent position.

Visiting Assistant Professor: Exercise Science
Kentucky Wesleyan College is seeking a dynamic, energetic assistant professor to teach within our Exercise Science Major. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to creative teaching and student engagement. This is a one year position, with the possibility of continuation and becoming tenure-track. (www.kwc.edu/khp)
Teaching load is four courses each semester within our three programs of study - Exercise Science, Fitness and Sports Management, and P-12 Teacher Certification. Courses to be taught include Exercise Science, Exercise Assessment and Prescription, Facilitating Behavior Change, Physical Activity Programming, Advanced Exercise Physiology, Nutrition for Health and Human Performance, Health Topics, Fitness and Wellness, and overseeing practicums.
A minimum of a MS in Exercise Science is required (ABD or Ph.D. preferred). Preference will be given to candidates who also possess ACSM certification and/or relevant practical experience.
