Welcome to the KWC Business Office

The Business Office staff is committed to enhancing every student’s KWC college experience and supporting faculty, staff, alumni, trustees and the community in their transactions and activities with the college.

Utilizing best practices in higher education services, we continue to update technology and procedures in the performance of our fiscal services responsibilities. We promote integrity, teamwork and collaboration with other personnel and functions across the organization to provide a cohesive, enjoyable and productive KWC experience.

Primary services provided by the Business Office are student billing and payments, accounts payable, human resources, budgeting and financial reporting, physical plant management and cashier.

The VP of Finance serves as the college’s chief business officer providing oversight and leadership for the college business activities, including financial reporting and fiscal controls, contract administration (food services, campus bookstore, physical plant, copiers, etc), campus technology, purchasing, human resources, risk management(insurance), physical plant management and maintenance, vehicle fleet management, and campus safety and security.

The Controller is responsible for maintaining all accounting activities and records of the College; managing the annual fiscal audit of financial statements; assisting with the external reporting functions and overseeing the Student Account activities.




Accounts Payable/Administrative Assistant - Lucy Kaelin

The Accounts Payable position is responsible for managing the accounts payable and purchase order systems. Responsibilities as the Administrative Assistant include managing the college’s vehicle fleet (assigning/scheduling vehicles, maintenance, insurance, registration, travel policies) and assisting the V.P. of Finance in miscellaneous business transactions and activities for the college.

The Cashier administers student accounts including payments, charges, refunds, payment plans, etc.; the petty cash and college cash functions and depositing all fiscal funds.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the functions of the Business Office, including the Controller, and Cashier/AR.  Responsibilities include reconciling accounts receivable and bank statements, and maintaining and collecting on Perkins Loans.

The Director of Human Resources provides leadership in all areas of Human Resources, including compensation and payroll for employees and students; employee benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement, and benefit time; staff recruitment; compliance with HR-related regulations and employee issues.

The Human Resources Assistant supports the Human Resource functions of the College.  Areas of responsibility include: payroll, benefit time, the employee newsletter, and compliance with HR-related regulations.
